&popText1=The first action on contact is to deliver a heavy volume of fire with the .50 caliber machine gun and the M240B machine gun. All other weapons should be fired at only clearly identified targets within their range. If the threat is destroyed, continue with the mission.&
&popText2=When APCs are exposed to enemy fire, they should move rapidly to the hull-down position. This position uses the terrain to protect the hull of the vehicle while allowing the team leader to observe the battlefield. The gunners should continue firing while the driver moves the vehicle into position. If appropriate, direct the dismount team to establish a base of fire.&
&popText3=As soon as the platoon leader has reached a protected position, he should analyze the situation and prepare to tell the company commander all he knows about the enemy and recommend a course of action to be taken. The platoon leaders report will be a situation report using the SALUTE format. You will review the SALUTE format on the following screens.&
